DImaCell / Spectroscopic Imaging Facility

The Spectroscopic Imaging Facility (PIMS)  provides the PAM joint research teams with imaging techniques dedicated to the observation in real time of the effects of various environmental stresses such as pressure, temperature or even oxidation on beneficial microorganisms. The samples observed include microorganisms (yeasts, bacteria, filamentous fungi), macromolecules, and biopolymers (food matrices, emulsions, functionalized packaging films).

The spectroscopic imaging facility is part of DImaCell (Cellular Imaging Facility), which proposes innovative cell imaging technology and methods for applications in various fields of research: medicine, agronomy, food industry...  The entire scientific community of the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region (universities, state-funded science and technology research centres, private companies) have access to the equipment.

The missions of the spectroscopic imaging facility cover three areas of activity:

Providing equipment, technical support, user advice and/or training for the scientific community, participation in projects

Development and implementation of new outreach strategies (methodology and technology monitoring) to increase the analytical potential linked directly to projects or topics addressed by the PAM joint research centre teams

Participation in teaching through Doctoral Schools and Masters, organisation of group or individual courses.
